ABOUT US
"Hangkilan" which means "Ferocious Warrior" in Hiligaynon (a local dialect of Negros province in the Philippines) is the name given to the founder of the group, Mandala Patch Caballero, by one it's most influential edged weapons instructor, Tuhon Nonoy Garrucho.
Hangkilan Inc. is a training and consultancy company that focuses on close-quarters combatives on the use of edged, impact, improvised weapons, and empty-handed tactics. We offer professional services not only in the defense and security industry but also to the corporate world for personal protection seminars, situational awareness talks to disaster preparedness and business continuity/recovery.
Our team is composed of international top tier professionals specializing in combatives training and consultancy for military, law enforcement and security professionals. We also have an extensive background in executive protection, risk analysis and management, disaster management and recovery.
Our physical security operations are mostly in the Philippines but we have traveled and crossed continents as well to train and consult different groups and individuals for various combatives, situational awareness, and weapons training. Our instructor base is certified under the Pekiti Tirsia Tactical Association and Survival Edge Tactical Systems under the Triangle Combatives Certification (TRICOM).
Hangkilan Inc. operates mostly in the Philippines but not limited to that alone. We operate with a wide network of international partners and support groups that are operating in various countries in Asia, Europe, and America. Should the need for international support arise, Hangkilan Inc. together with our partners can cross continents and get the results needed by any client. Most of our clients are international brands, some belong to the Fortune 500 companies, industry professionals, various military/law enforcement units and individuals from around the world. Part of our operational security and privacy policy that we maintain with our clients is to not disclose any of our past clients publicly. ABOUT THE PTTA
Team Pekiti
The Pekiti Tirsia Tactical Association was founded by Tuhon Jared Wihongi in 2002. The idea of an association dedicated to the tactical application of Pekiti-Tirsia was based on Tuhon Jared’s extensive background as a Police Trainer, SWAT Operator and an Army Special Forces Combatives Instructor. The original concept of the Pekiti Tirsia Tactical Association was an organization dedicated to training the Tri-V Method of Pekiti-Tirsia Kali with a strict emphasis on Tactical Application. The mission has since grown to encompass TRICOM (Tri-Angle Combatives) Law Enforcement/ Military training modules, “Classical Pekiti-Tirsia” training methodologies in addition to the Tri-V Method.
Most Senior Instructors within the PTTA are current and former Police/ Military Operators and Use-of-Force trainers from around the world. This being the case, the PTTA has expanded to the point where most affiliate schools have classes and organizations with student bases made up primarily of civilian enthusiasts, as well as police/military Operators.
The roots of our knowledge were guided by Grandtuhon Leo T. Gaje Jr. during his most active years training the Philippine National Police and Armed Forces. He was instrumental in the guiding mission and principles of the PTTA, and acted as Chief Technical Advisor to the Board of Directors for over a decade. The PTTA was one of the primary organizations that operated under the umbrella of the now defunct Pekiti-Tirsia Global Grand Alliance.
